Three Pakistani American sisters have authored nine books together of high literary merit and sold several thousand copies to date.
The teenagers – Sadaf, 20, Huda, 16, and Maliha Ayaz, 15, – writes fictional novels for their age group. All three began writing from a very young age on the encouragement of their father, Hafiz Ayaz Siddiqui.
Siddiqui migrated from Khanewal, Pakistan, to New York in the early 90s. Back in Pakistan, he was a teacher at a local school, but after arriving in the United States he began practicing law.
“It was my dream to write novels,” he told Geo.tv, “But I never found the time. So, today, my children are taking my dream forward.”
The trio’s books are available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Maliha, the youngest, has published two books to her credit. She inked her first when she was only 10-years-old, titled The Heart of Time. The novel follows the journey of a young girl into the dark underworld.
While, Sadaf has published one novel, the Crossing Red Lights, when she was 14 years old. The fiction novel has been optioned for a Studio Feature Film and TV series. And Huda has till now authored five novels.
The girls credit their father for editing and scrutinizing their work.
