Col Khawar Munir Haroon, Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military)
Guns blazing, but without projectiles, just sound and noise with a flash, which can burn oneself, otherwise of no consequence.
The nation as a whole believes in miracles, not knowing that non would occur. Most of us are good in giving lip service but practically absolutely opposite to the norms of truthfulness. Most of us want a platter of roasted lamb without earning it. Most of us are oblivious of our backyard but want to peep in the others courtyard. Most of us have turned into blackmailers without whitening our own dark inner selves. Ahmed Faraz said, “her jism dagh dagh tha laikin Faraz hum :badnam youn hoaiy k badan per qaba na thi”. (Everyone was tainted but I got notorious because I spoke out).
The lordship takes a suo moto on someone calling names to the holy cows. But, is not willing to cleanse his own dirty linen.
There was an one eyed jack sometime ago who could not see with his good eye the wrong being done right under his nose in his own house but had the support of pirates of caribbean. Heartless and moleculed.
Then again another jack jumped over all the norms of judicial decency while writing a judgment against an ex President of Pakistan.
Then again a sitting judge, walks up to podium in a court and shoves off a council and starts addressing the court without being stopped by the 10 judges hearing his case and even allowing his wife to address the court through a video link. In a way a precedence has been set for any future accomplice to address the court either in person or on a video link. What norms?
Then, a Baloch Sardar, Akhtar Mengal, walks out on the government with the flimsy pretext. His own real younger brother, Javed Mengal, is heading the rebel outfit of Balochistan Liberation Army. His two very close relatives, Harbyar Marri and Bramdagh Bugti, are well known anti Pakistanis and on the pay roll of Indians and all anti Pakistan forces. Did anyone question him on the main stream media? If yes, then who, and what was his reply? If not, then why not? Who is a traitor?
The political opposition is another bunch of hounds. They looted the nation mercilessly for years but are crying wolf again. The naive populace is again dancing on their tune, without knowing that these piped pipers are out to throw them in the abyss of oblivion once again. If it happens, God forbid, then it will be doomsday.
The government is also trying its best to provide fodder to the hawks (or vultures) of opposition by all sorts of irrational and rash decisions. Mind you Mr Imran Khan, you being the Chief Executive, it is you who has to take the blame of incompetence of your team. Who else would know it better than you, being a sportsman of stature yourself. You have faltered in the selection of your team, may it be in Center or in Punjab or Khaybar Pakhtun Khaw.
Still the time has not run out on you nor the hope of many have dwindled regarding your performance. Any sane person knows the difficult times that you are in. We know you inherited the almost bankrupt economy. We know that the pandemic of COVID 19 has hit us hard. We know that the lurking dangers on our eastern borders are real. We know that the so-called establishment is standing by you. We know that people in helm of affairs have no doubt about your honesty and dedication. We know that they are aware of your capabilities. We know that you are for Pakistan. We know that world listens when you speak on the international fora.
The only problem is that your own cabinet does not listen. Most of them are the Goons of international power game monitors. Most of the remaining are inductees. They being the closed knit flock of migratory birds, changing places with the changing currents. There are hardly some from your original lot. They are also not in consonance with each other.
Mr Prime Minister you have to take immediate measures. Get rid of your bunch of nincompoops. Form an emergency war cabinet. Forget about the migratory stalkers. Put your own people. Put your foot down.
If that is not possible, then dissolve the parliament. Let the interim government cleanse the dirty linen. Let the rules of the game change as per requirement of Pakistan. Let us get rid of the poney tailed pseudo intellectuals. Let Pakistan be for Pakistanis.
Let the accountability be across the board.
Will you, My Lord, The Chief Justice of Pakistan, step out of your premises and help the government in overcoming the looming crisis or else you want to stick to the blind folded mannequin with not so balanced balance in its hand?
